Daniel Grimsich of Riverside, Connecticut, was born in Chicago and formally educated at the University of Illinois where he received his Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture. An architect by profession, he also studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art. While Watercolor was always his preferred media, he pursued additional studies with the late Herb Olson of Westport, Connecticut. Dan Grimsich has taught classes at the Old Greenwich Community Center, the Norwalk Maritime Center, the Greenwich YWCA, his Studio, the Greenwich High School Adult Continuing Education, and currently at the Indian Rocks Beach ArtsCenter in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. Dan has exhibited his paintings throughout the country and many of his works are included in corporate and private collections.
